Terms of Service
Last updated 11 September 2026. These terms are an agreement between you and QuickMem covering the QuickMem app and this website. By creating an account or using the app, you accept them.
1. Who can use QuickMem
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use QuickMem with a parent or guardian's permission, and they accept these terms on your behalf. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including keeping your password to yourself.
2. Your content is yours
The decks, flashcards, and images you create or upload remain yours. We claim no ownership of them. You grant us only the permission we need to operate the service on your behalf — to store your content, sync it to your devices, back it up, and show it to a friend you have deliberately shared a deck with. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account.
You are responsible for having the right to whatever you upload. That includes images you attach and decks you bring in from elsewhere, such as an Anki import — importing a deck does not give you rights to it that you did not already have.
3. Acceptable use
Do not use QuickMem to store or share anything unlawful, to harass anyone, to infringe someone else's rights, or to distribute malware. Do not attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or circumvent the limits of the service, and do not use automated tools to generate requests at a scale a person could not. We may suspend or close an account that does these things.
4. The AI Helper
The Helper generates flashcards and explanations using a third-party AI model. Two things follow from that, and both matter:
AI output can be wrong. It may produce statements that are inaccurate, incomplete, out of date, or confidently mistaken. It is a drafting aid, not a source of truth. Do not rely on it for medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical information, and check anything you intend to actually learn. You are responsible for reviewing what it produces before you study from it.
AI use is metered. Every account has an allowance covering how much AI work it can do in a given period. When the allowance is used up, AI features stop until the period rolls over; everything else in the app keeps working. The size of the allowance and the length of the period are set by us and may change. We will not reduce a paid subscriber's allowance without telling them first.
Text you submit to the Helper is sent to our AI provider to produce a response. What is sent, and what is not, is set out in the Privacy Policy.
5. QuickMem Plus subscriptions
QuickMem Plus is a paid subscription that unlocks the AI features. The current price is shown in the app before you buy, in your own currency, and that price is the one that applies.
- Billing. Subscriptions are sold and billed by Google Play or the Apple App Store, not by us. Their payment terms apply to the transaction.
- Auto-renewal. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period and your account is charged, until you cancel. This is how both stores work by default.
- Cancelling. Cancel any time in your Google Play or App Store account settings. Cancelling stops the next charge; it does not end the period you have already paid for, and you keep access until that period ends.
- Refunds. Refunds are handled by the store that took the payment, under its policy. We cannot issue a refund for a purchase we did not process, though we will help you reach the right place.
- Free trials and introductory offers. Where offered, a trial converts to a paid subscription automatically unless you cancel before it ends.
- Price changes. If we change the price, we will give you notice through the app or the store before it affects you, and you can cancel rather than accept it.
Losing access to a paid feature — because a subscription ended, or because a payment failed — does not delete your flashcards. Your content stays where it is.
6. Free allowance
New accounts get a small one-time allowance of AI usage so you can try the Helper before deciding whether to pay for it. It is a trial of the feature, not an entitlement: we may change its size, require a verified email address to claim it, or withdraw it for accounts that appear to be abusing it — for example by creating accounts repeatedly to claim it again.
7. Availability
We aim to keep QuickMem running, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features. If we discontinue a paid feature outright, we will give reasonable notice and, where a subscription has been paid for and cannot be delivered, arrange a refund of the unused part through the relevant store.
8. Ending the agreement
You can stop using QuickMem at any time and delete your account from inside the app. Doing so closes the account immediately and deletes your content 30 days later; within those 30 days you can ask us to restore it. Deleting your account does not cancel a QuickMem Plus subscription — cancel that in Google Play or the App Store, or it keeps billing. We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if we are required to by law, or if keeping it open would create a security or legal risk. If we close your account other than for a breach, we will give you a reasonable chance to export your content.
We also close accounts that nobody uses. A registered account that has not been opened or signed into for 120 days is deleted, and before that we email the address on it at least 30 days in advance — signing in keeps the account, and you can ask support@quickmem.com for a copy of your content before the date. An anonymous account, used without signing up, has no address for us to write to and is deleted after 120 days without use. An account with an active subscription is never closed for inactivity. The Privacy Policy describes this in full.
9. Disclaimers
QuickMem is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will meet your requirements, that it will be error-free, or that any AI output will be accurate.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, nor for lost profits, lost data, or lost study time. Our total liability arising out of or relating to QuickMem is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or twenty US dollars.
Back up anything you cannot afford to lose. We take care with your data, but no service is immune to loss.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page, and for a significant change we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use QuickMem after that means you accept the new terms; if you do not, stop using the app and cancel any subscription.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the state and federal courts located in King County, Washington have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute — except that either party may bring a claim in small claims court, and except where the mandatory law of your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings locally, which these terms do not take away.
